Hamlet was exiled by Claudius to England with a message to the King to kill the person who delivered the letter. He rewrites the letter, removing himself from the equation and making it so that Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are killed in England, which they are. She has comitted suicide; whether by simply giving up and accepting death when she accidentally falls, or by purposely faling into the river to drown herself.
