HAMLET:
He is the main character of the story; the prince of Denmark. The deal with Hamlet is that his father was killed, and not a day after the funeral his mother weds the King's brother. He is infuriated by this and at the fact that his uncle, the new king, is a drunk who is making Denmark look bad. Now Hamlet is acting crazy for a cause, but is he really starting to lose it?

THE GHOST OF HAMLET: The ghost terrorized Marcellus and Horatio and Hamlet finally comes in contact with it. It appears to be the tortured spirit of the king Hamlet. The deal with the ghost is that it is trying to communicate with his son Hamlet and needs to make known that he knows that Claudius is the man who killed him.
